Stephen & Rockam's first time ice skating

Last weekend, I went to Serpentini ice rink with aunt Patti, Jack, Cristiana and four out of five of our kiddos. Ollie was taking a nap, so Joe stayed home.

The boys were really enthusiastic about skating despite their near inability to stay upright. Having not skated for a decade, I was pretty surprised I didn't fall myself!

Taking a selfie break in the penalty box

Rocky enjoyed skating too; every time he fell, he giggled himself back to standing (with some help of course).

I didn't get a picture of Tzurielle, but she's a little pro! Able to skate on her own at only 3!!

Never-ending Indian Summer

Fun with swords.

Deer Spottings

So we have quite the menagerie of wildlife just outside our windows at our new home. I love to watch the birds, squirrels and chipmunks that frequent our backyard. Lately, we've also had some bigger visitors!

Parents night out

A week ago, Joe and I got out for a rare night out to see Chris Tomlin and Rend Collective perform at CSU.

We enjoyed losing our voices with some good friends and their son.

Field trip with Rocky's class

I went along for Rockam's second field trip of the year to Shaker Lakes Nature Center. It was a pretty perfect morning for a walk in the woods.

We saw plenty of dear, ducks, squirrels, fish and a young blue heron. I also spotted a nuthatch, goldfinches in their cool weather plumage and some house finches :)

And a big worm. Rockam also held it.

Rocky wanted me to take his picture by the marsh mallow plants.
