Wild Kratts live

Yesterday Stephen and Rockam donned their Creature Power t-shirts and watched Chris and Martin Kratt perform at Eastern Kentucky University.

They all did well considering the long drive. Stephen was a tad disappointed that, "they're just wearing costumes," instead of real creature power suits. But he perked up when the Zack Bots came on stage.

Rain flakes

It started sleeting before I left to pick up Stephen from school today.

He was so excited as he came out to the car, exclaiming, "It's like Rain Flakes!"

Rocky wasn't as enthusiastic.

Math Night

Last night, Stephen had a Math Night at his school. We brought the whole family.

The gymnasium was set up with different stations for each grade level. Here Stephen plays war with his teacher Mrs. Puckett.

After he blazed through the kindergarten activity, he tried first grade, second grade, fourth and fifth grade to the amazement and cheers of several teachers and his principal :)

He also did science experiments with marbles and calculators.

Here's Rocky eating his 100 snacks that he painstakingly counted out from a long buffet line of cheez its, chocolate chips, Cheerios and the like.

So sorry I didn't capture Oliver, who wandered around the gym with no fear.

Visit from Nona and Papa

Oliver holds Nona's finger captive on the way back from Clarksville.

Rocky clings to his early birthday lego set even in his sleep.

A little Buckeye fan. I have no pictures to show for it, but Oliver has finally given up crawling in favor of walking!!! Woo hoo!!! 18.5 months!!

Look who's up

Oliver has just spent the last 10 minutes practicing standing up on his own and falling on his bum! Maybe he'll be walking soon!

In other news, Ollie had his 18-month appointment Monday. He weighs 20 lbs 1 oz and is 30 5/8 inches tall. This puts him at 3rd percentile for weight and 9th percentile for height. His head size was 24th percentile.

Happy New Year!

We spent New Year's Eve at the Douthitt's, eating snacks and playing Crainium. Four out of five Parrinos were awake at midnight. One was out cold.

Earlier in the evening they played hard. Joshua drives Oliver on Ali's four wheeler.
