Nutty Science show

 We've tried to stay busy this week while Daddy is out of town. On Tuesday, the boys enjoyed sitting outdoors for a summer library program called Nutty Science. Stephen especially enjoyed the diet coke bottle rockets, which I failed to capture because I was too busy cowering/vigilantly watching where the messy rockets would fall.

It began raining right when the show ended, so we retreated to the library to get our week's supply of books & DVDs.

Yesterday we took Stephen to see his new school. He's standing in the lunch room thinking about eating meals there.

Rockam enjoyed the impromptu tour as well.

Stephen also had a physical today.

36.6 lbs (5th percentile weight)

42 1/8 (7th percentile height)

20/30 vision

Left ear tested a little low on hearing test. Stephen insists it's because he needs to clean the wax out of his ear :) I think he's probably right.

We'll visit an audiologist next month along with the eye doctor and dentist-- all of which are required for his entrance into school this August. 

Stephen's first camp out

Stephen, Rockam and my dad had their first back yard camp out last week. The kids were making shadow puppets when 

I took this shot. "I'm a dinosaur! I'm a cactus!" 

Rocky was super hyper on account of drinking half my smoothie, an ice cream cone and two marshmallows before bed.

Eventually my dad had to bring Rockam back inside so he and Stephen could sleep.

But they did enjoy a nice story time by flashlight.

This is how Stephen looked when I found him the next morning! They came in around 5:30 when it it got too cold. 

Stephen said his favorite part (high point) was roasting marshmallows over the hibachi. His low point was Rockam screaming too much.

The boys are pretty good at traveling.
