Our church celebrated its four-year anniversary with a cookout and small group olympics on Saturday. Stephen had lots of fun in the sun:
We had to wear our team color, orange. Stephen got in on the act too.
He quickly found his buddy, Evan Couchman.
He tried out the big-boy swing.
We didn't let him eat this...but I just had to photograph it!
He enjoyed the bouncer... even though his expression doesn't exactly betray that emotion!
And he enjoyed relaxing and socializing with Ellie Fay.

Christian Way Farm
Mother's Day started on Saturday for me, as Joe arranged a trip to Christian Way Farm, a wonderful place our friends Milt and Janie Corely run with their kids Craig and Jennifer Lenoir. Here Stephen and Clyde take an imaginary drive.
A highlight of the morning was playing in the corn box. We gotta get one of these :-)
He had corn in his diaper after this.
Stephen got to meet a lot of farm animals, such as the chickens above, but his favorites (below) followed him wherever he went.
Stephen and his buddies.
He got to "drive" a lot of things.
When you ask Stephen what a cow says, he replies, "MMMMmmm. smack, smack, smack!"

Whit is two!
Stephen went to Whit Martin's birthday party on Tuesday night. He didn't get to interact much with the birthday boy, but he had fun on the giant infatable bouncer slide in their front yard. He watched everyone watch Whit open his presents.
We got Whit a "Shaun the Sheep" DVD... a character, I have to admit, I find completely entertaining.
Amelia Fancher was nice enough to take Stephen down the slide several times. I missed all the smiley momemts, but believe me, he loved it!
