Tzurielle & Eliesha's Birthday Party
Cristiana threw a princesses and Knights party at Lakewood Park for the Parrino girls. The toy swords were a big hit.
Born a week apart: Tzurielle turned 3; Eliesha turned 1.
Rocky gets prepped for the "punch piƱata"
Edgewater Park morning walk
Yesterday I took a walk along the lake with Stephen and Oliver in the stroller (Rocky wanted to stay in his pjs longer).

Cute things Oliver Says
Apple Jack = Uncle Jack
Oh-we-sha = Eliesha
Cereal= Tzurielle
Donut = Jonah
Zoe-bee = Zoe
Cleveland Romanian Festival
Tonight we enjoyed some boisterous Romanian music (think polka mixed with Jazz), delicious food and friendly company at the Cleveland Romanian Festival. Oliver loved the chicken and dumpling stew.
We all shared the Transilvanian Platter (sauerkraut, cheesy polenta, Romanian-style green beans, cabbage roll, chicken stew and bread). I was so proud of Rockam, who tried a little bite of every dish!!
It was a pretty evening and all the people there seemed relaxed and happy.
Dessert: Stephen had Napoleon Cream Cake, Rocky had a cream puff of sorts, Oliver had a kolachky (it had a different name). The nice older gentleman who shared our table kept giving our kids napkins.

Stephen's Birthday Party
A Cannoli "cake" for my little 7-yr-old.
Diamond Armor Steve arrived earlier than expected, so he topped the cake.
Mining for jewels in ice.
Coraling some balloon animals and dodging a creeper.
Homemade masks.
Stephen was super excited about his presents: Lego Minecraft crafting box from Grammy & Gramps, diamond sword from Uncle Jack & Tia Cris, bow and arrow and a ice cave Lego set from Nonna and Papa.
August 11: Fourteen Years
Joe and I enjoyed a lunch downtown at Michael Symon's restaurant Lola!! without children!! So excited!!
My scallops, with prosciutto, chanterelles, pea shoots and two kinds of asparagus. (Please note, Lola is a very dimly lit restaurant.)
Joe had pork schnitzel with Dijon cabbage, potatoes and country bacon. This was very good... But the flat leaf parsley didn't make sense. I think dill weed would've been better.
We also had the beef cheek pierogi - no picture; it was too good. Melty and creamy and crisp and meaty with sautƩed mushrooms on top.
August 10: Westside Market
This is how we roll. Rocky, Stephen, Isabella, Cristiana, Tzurielle, Eliesha and Jack. I'm behind pushing Oliver.
The produce and deli meat outing was a success :)
Making new friends
Stephen has made a handful of friends in the short weeks we've been here. August 9 we had the pleasure of seeing our friend, Patrick and Heather Carey, and their kids, Marty and Betsy perform Irish step dance at and Irish festival. Afterwards we hit up Red Robin for dinner. Stephen had a blast watching Marty play Minecraft.
August 7th: Cleveland Vegan
We've all been eating too well since we've arrived in Ohio. While house hunting one morning joe and I found Cleveland Vegan.
Old stomping grounds
We've been staying at Joe's brother and sister-in-law's, which happens to be the house next door to one of his childhood homes, with an identical floor plan. It's also across the street from his childhood church.
August 5: house hunting
The great homes on cleveland's west side get snapped up quickly. We've been hunting since we arrived and have made two offers, but no house yet.
We took the kids with us one day for a marathon showing spree.
After five houses in one morning, we took the kids out for frozen custard.
August 4: Little Italy with little Italians
Presti's Bakery in Little Italy. Sharing some heritage with the boys :)
Oliver liked the pizza bread.
I liked the colorful mural of Mayfield Road.
The counter at Corbo's Bakery... Too many choices.
Eating cannoli at the park.
